Birth is not a day. It is a passage you prepare for.
I have attended over eighty births. The couples who moved through labor with the most steadiness were not the ones who got lucky. They were the ones who had done the work beforehand. They understood the body. They had rehearsed the tools. They had language for the room when the room got quiet.
That is what we build together before labor ever begins.
This is not a class. It is hands-on preparation, tailored to your body, your partnership, and your birth.
From first call to the birth room
Every birth client begins the same way. A conversation, a plan, and two prenatals built around the tools you and your partner will actually use.
Free consult
A 15-minute call to discuss your birth goals, due date, and whether working together is the right fit.
Intake and plan
A detailed questionnaire and scheduling call. We map your pregnancy, your birth setting, and what you want the prenatals to cover.
Two prenatals
In-depth sessions covering birth preferences, comfort measures, Spinning Babies, meditation, and a guided stretch practice.
Labor and beyond
On-call from 38 weeks. Continuous labor support through birth. One virtual postpartum call within the first two weeks.
Five tools you and your partner will carry into labor
Every Full Doula Support client receives two prenatal sessions. We move through these five areas together, adapting the emphasis to your birth setting, your body, and what you and your partner need most.
Partners are not observers in these sessions. They are the primary support person in the birth room, and the prenatals are where they learn to step into that role with skill.
- Birth preferences We build a clear, flexible birth plan together. One that reflects your values, anticipates common decision points, and speaks the language your care team understands.
- Comfort measures Hands-on techniques your partner can use. Counter-pressure, rebozo work, hip squeezes, positioning, and the quieter tools that change how a contraction is experienced.
- Spinning Babies Body-balancing techniques to support optimal fetal positioning. Daily practices for late pregnancy and specific tools for when labor stalls or a baby needs room to rotate.
- Meditation Breath work and mental anchors you can return to in active labor. Not abstract mindfulness. Practical tools rehearsed in your body before you need them.
- Stretch session A guided movement and stretch practice for late pregnancy. We open the pelvis, release held tension, and build the body awareness you will rely on when labor begins.

Birth is not something that happens to you. It is something you move through.
My role is to help you arrive at labor with your body, your partnership, and your preferences already rehearsed. I am not there to make decisions for you. I am there so that when a decision needs to be made, you already know what you think.
Your partner is the primary support person in the room. I teach them how to step into that role with skill, not stand back and defer. Everything we practice in the prenatals, your partner learns alongside you.
I never replace medical care, and I never push a particular kind of birth. Your choices are your choices. My work is to protect the space around them.
Preparation that meets the weight of what you are about to do.
Not sure which package is right for you?
The free consult is the clearest way to find out. Fifteen minutes, no pressure, a real conversation about where you are and what you need.
Schedule a Free 15-Minute ConsultHi, I am Julianna.
I am a birth doula, fertility awareness educator, and the founder of Stone Fertility. I have attended over eighty births and hold certifications through The Well School of Body Literacy and the Association of Fertility Awareness Professionals.
My work sits across the full arc of reproduction. Before I ever step into a birth room with you, I understand the body as a continuous story, not a series of isolated events. A client who knows her cycle understands her labor differently. A couple who prepared for conception with intention tends to bring that same attention to birth.
I do not teach labor support in isolation. The body does not experience it in isolation, and neither do you.

What couples say about working with Julianna
Julianna was an asset to us during our prenatal and postpartum journey. She has a calm and grounded nature and approach. Her somatic and body work techniques were so helpful for me, both during pregnancy and labor. I felt secure with Julianna at all times and quickly felt a trust towards her from the beginning. This was so important to have during such a special, yet challenging experience. I would highly recommend her to anyone looking for someone in this field.
I had such an incredible experience with Julianna both during labor and as a postpartum doula. I do not think I could have gotten through the postpartum challenges I faced without her. She is calm, wise, and so thoughtful. She brings knowledge and tradition from all over the world into the work of caring for babies and mothers. I wish there were more people like Julianna out there looking after all the mamas who need it. I am grateful our paths crossed at such an important time in my life.
Before we talk, here is what most couples ask
Most couples reach out between 20 and 32 weeks. Earlier gives us more prenatal time together, which matters. I book a limited number of births per month, so the second trimester is ideal.
If you are already further along, we can still work together. The consult is the best way to find out.
Yes, all three. My role adapts to the setting, but the core work of continuous support stays the same. I currently serve San Diego and the surrounding area for in-person labor attendance.
Full Doula Support includes continuous labor attendance. I come to your home or birth location when labor begins and stay through the birth. It also includes two prenatal sessions and a postpartum call.
Everything But Labor Support is designed for couples who want comprehensive preparation without in-person labor attendance. The prenatal curriculum expands to include childbirth education, postpartum preparation, newborn care, and breastfeeding education.
I go on-call for Full Doula Support clients beginning at 38 weeks. I am reachable around the clock, my travel and schedule are structured around your potential labor, and I come to you when active labor begins.
Prenatal sessions and the postpartum call can be conducted virtually for clients outside San Diego. Continuous in-person labor attendance is offered within the San Diego area.
The Everything But Labor Support package is fully available virtually and works well for couples anywhere in the country.
No. A doula is not a medical provider and does not provide clinical care. I work alongside your chosen medical team. My role is to support you and your partner through the experience of birth, not to diagnose, examine, or intervene clinically.
I work directly with Health Net, Kaiser, and Medi-Cal for doula services. For other providers, I offer superbills for reimbursement.
Let us talk about your birth.
Tell me where you are in pregnancy, what you are hoping for, and what kind of support you need. No pressure. A conversation.

Stone Fertility provides birth doula support and fertility awareness education, not medical care. A doula is not a substitute for a licensed healthcare provider. If you have concerns about your pregnancy or birth, please consult your medical provider.
